Ron graduated from Freed-Hardeman College with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 1977 and received his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama in 1985. He worked with children in foster and adoptive care during his career. He and his wife are retired and moved to Panama City Beach in August of 2023 from Nashville, where they had lived for 38 years.

Ron enjoys taking walks on the beach with his wife, walking his dogs around the neighborhood, spending time with family and friends, playing golf, singing, and studying God’s Word.

He teaches a Bible class for new Christians called “Now That I’m A Christian” on Sunday mornings at 9:00. The class covers the history of the church Jesus established and how Christians should live, worship, and evangelize.

Ron is also one of the song leaders for the congregation.

He comes from a singing family and was in an acapella singing group called DEDICATION for 25 years. The group recorded five CDs and traveled throughout the South singing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
