Jodi Hendrix

Jodi has faithfully served as a Sunday School and Wednesday evening Bible class teacher since 2010. She began teaching in the nursery alongside an experienced Sunday School teacher and, over the years, worked with several different age groups before finding her place teaching children ages nine through twelve.

In addition to the Bible, Jodi uses the Apologetics Press Explorer Series to help make each lesson engaging and meaningful. Her students are encouraged to open their Bibles and look up every Scripture referenced as they pray, read aloud, answer lesson questions, and enjoy activities such as word searches and hidden-picture puzzles. With Panama City Beach welcoming visitors from across the country, Jodi’s class frequently includes “guest children” who are vacationing with their families—making each week a new opportunity to learn and grow together.

Jodi moved to Panama City Beach in December 2009 after retiring from the U.S. Navy. She later continued serving the Navy as a civilian federal employee before retiring from Federal Service in 2025. She enjoys being involved in the work of the church and participating in Ladies Bible Class.

Outside of church, Jodi enjoys fixing—or occasionally breaking!—mechanical things, camping during the fall and winter months, and caring for her beloved dogs. Every two years, she also reunites with five of her Navy sisters for a trip together, wherever their next adventure may take them.
